Heart of Tiger Hill
Trek | 900m

Duration: 2 Nights / 3 Days Location: Drass, Ladakh

Difficulty Level: Difficult

“Cross ice bridges, charge through untamed grass, and stand on the battlefield where nature and valor still collide.”

Experience Overview

The Heart of Tiger Hill Trek isn’t just an adventure—it’s an invitation to walk the wild, haunted backbone of Indian history. Over two unforgettable days, you’ll climb to the 4,000m mid-ridge of Tiger Hill, tracing a path through untamed meadows, icy streams, and the harsh beauty of Ladakh’s high-altitude frontier. Here, the landscape is raw—green slopes rippling with wild horses, glaciers feeding cold rivers, and silence broken only by wind and memory.

But this is more than nature. Tiger Hill is a living memorial, a place where the 1999 Kargil War left its mark on both rock and spirit. As you ascend, each step echoes with the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for these heights. Stand at the legendary Rhino Horn Feature, take in panoramic views of Drass Valley and the battered ridgelines, and feel history in your bones.

Trek Leadership

Led by Aby Aneja (Alpha 01) — filmmaker, endurance athlete, and founder of Being Alive. Raised in Dubai’s steel-and-glass skyline, Aby left behind the city life to chase the raw wilderness of Ladakh. For over 2.5 years, he has lived between Leh’s sunlit trails and the sub-zero silence of Drass, where winter dips to –30°C.

An accomplished kickboxer, marathon runner, and high-altitude trekker, Aby has completed the Markha Valley trek, conquered Kongmaru La at 5,270m, and finished the 44km Sarhad Shauryathon in Drass — ranking among the toughest local athletes.

He has meticulously mapped Kargil War peaks, explored forgotten trails, and designed custom trek routes that blend adventure with India’s war heritage. With Alpha 01, you're not just following a leader — you’re stepping into stories whispered by the rocks, winds, and peaks.
